“O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.” Psalm 139: 1 – 4 ESV
The Holy Spirit knows everything. He knows every detail of our lives and every detail of the whole universe. The spirit actually knows and understands your pain. How very often do we have the desire to have someone who understands us who understands what we are going through? We have that in Holy Spirit, we have a friend that is closer than our breath, who sees every tear and puts it in a bottle. He has infinite knowledge.
This should give us much security and power especially when we know that He loves us and desires us and has our best interest at heart. So even when we are going difficult times and situation knowing that ‘all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord.’ Trusting God means putting our lives in His hand. Sometimes this feels like jumping off of a high rise building and not knowing if the power shoot will release. His power shoot will release, and we can trust no matter what it looks like He is very much in control as long as we give Him the steering wheel.
Lord I pray that you give us the Grace to trust you and to depend totally on you knowing that you are faithful, and you are a good good father who has the best intentions for us.
