RUTH CONLON is a fun spirited and passionate Senior Accredited Pastoral Supervisor, Spiritual Director, Leadership Coach, Author, Speaker, Lecturer, Retreat Director, Minister, Student and Friend. Ruth is an ordained minister and has completed her doctorate in Ministry at the North Carolina Theological Seminary, with a focus on spiritual formation and holiness. Ruth is deeply committed to guiding others on their spiritual journey towards deeper intimacy with God. She is an advocate for people desiring to fulfil their calling, integrating spiritual formation, leadership growth, development and strategy. She supports and encourages individuals and organisations to live and/or lead from the inside out. Ruth has journeyed with many people through her courses, one to ones and prayer meetings, calling them to deeper intimacy with God and authentic Christianity. Her devotion for Christ, His Word and prayer is contagious, and flows through her online books, courses and one to ones.

She invest in leaders, creating space where leaders can serve from the inside out so that they may have a positive impact on their communities. Ruth is the founder and principal of the Institute for Biblical Holiness. She’s passionate about the church history of holiness and this understanding can impact our faith today. She lectures in Spiritual Direction, Spiritual Formation and Theology of Holiness; lecturing and working with students from diverse backgrounds and church traditions. The past 23 years has been spent providing pastoral care, coaching, spiritual direction, community development and transformation. Ruth’s work and ministry has focused upon training, development, coaching, and capacity building within Christian organisations and church. Her experience has resulted in working with missions and ministries globally to build the capability of their people and programmes. Other work included organisational and leadership development both in the UK and overseas. Ruth also provides pastoral care to missionaries working with BMS World Mission.

Over the past twenty-three years, she has supported the notion that diversity and equality matter. This has resulted in her achieving a wide range of experience and academic attainment in leadership, management, marketing and third sector policy. Ruth has created and delivered leadership courses accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management, designed explicitly for faith-based leaders of churches or Christian Organisations, for capacity building and organisational development.
She remains connected to working and supporting marginalised communities and has previously held senior leadership roles in the Third Sector, including Trustee of the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). Ruth has had immense cross-cultural and cross-denominational experiences and interactions. It is this leadership experience that allows her to journey with people requiring spiritual accompaniment and leadership development. She believes that spiritual direction is not only for the clergy but also a requirement for any Christian leader, whether in the church, public, private or political sectors.
Ruth is also a Leadership and Strategy Consultant to third sector leaders and Ministers. She is a public speaker, author and a constant voice advocating for women.
Ruth also coordinated the City of London House of Prayer at City Temple International, a polycultural church in central London. She currently provides both one-to-one and group coaching, spiritual direction and pastoral supervision. Ruth has a particular interest in biblical and patristic perspectives on Christian Formation and Discipleship. She has created several courses on Christian Spirituality including a Diploma in Spiritual Formation. She has lectured at All Nations Christian College on Spiritual Formation and Personal Development and provided pastoral care to staff and students.
She is the Founder/Director of Pursuing Holiness, a ministry providing accredited biblical training, books, conferences, bible studies and devotionals to assist growth towards deeper intimacy with God, cultivate a hunger and thirst for righteousness and grow towards spiritual maturity. People worldwide can get Ruth’s “Deeper Intimacy with God” programme through TV or Online outlets.
Ruth has two books published, Pursuit -Towards Deeper Intimacy with God and Give Me Jesus – Daily Devotional. Her third book, Still Waters, is now in draft form and publication is planned.
