God Heals Broken Hearts

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” 1 John 3:1 ESV

When we see and begin to grow in the knowledge of God and begin to understand His glory and splendour in order for us to trust Him with every detail of our lives we have to comprehend and believe that He loves us and has our best interest at heart. This becomes a stumbling block for those who have experienced abuse, pain, hurt or rejection, especially while growing up. Because unfortunately, they see God in the same way they see their abuser, which makes trust hard, but not impossible. God, the Holy Spirit has a beautiful way of gaining our trust and healing our hearts, one layer at a time.

We must get to a place where we trust God’s infinite wisdom. God’s track record of success surrounds us in everything we see. As we truly comprehend this, there is also a desire to yield to God’s will as we begin to understand that His will is perfect, the God that made day and night and created the seas to roar. Made the birds in the air and fish in the sea. The creator of the universe and every living thing. His will is the perfect one for my life, and I desire, despite my flesh, to be conformed and yielded to it. He has got this, and I trust Him.

You know me, Lord, and I trust you with my life. Even when it hurts, even when I can’t see you at work, even when I think I know better, Lord, I trust that in the same way you made every detail of my body and aligned the stars, that yes, you love me, and you will align my life according to your purpose and your will.

Much Love in Christ,

Your Sister,
